Training Menu
This menu provides training options for infant resuscitation skills practice and assessment. There are six options to choose from:
- Chest Compressions Only Practice: This option allows chest compressions to be practiced with real-time feedback provided on the tablet screen (and manikin) to help optimise performance. A full debrief is provided when completed.
- Ventilation Only Practice: This option allows ventilations to be practiced with real-time feedback provided on the tablet screen (and manikin) to help optimise performance. This is ideal for respiratory arrest scenarios. A full debrief is provided when completed.
- 30:2 Infant CPR (AHA) Practice: This option combines compressions and ventilations in accordance with the AHA algorithm with full real-time feedback and provides a full debrief when completed to optimise performance.
- 30:2 Infant CPR (AHA) Assessment: This option records the performance of the student but with no real-time feedback on the screen or the manikin. A full debrief is provided when completed.
- 5, 15:2 Infant CPR (ERC) Practice: This option combines compressions and ventilations in accordance with the ERC algorithm (including 5 initial rescue ventilations) with full real-time feedback and a full debrief to help optimise performance.
- 5, 15:2 Infant CPR (ERC) Assessment: This option records the performance of the student but with no real-time feedback on the screen or the manikin. A full debrief provided when completed (including the 5 initial rescue ventilations)

123456Compression Only Training
This screen allows students to see how well they are performing CPR in real-time. This is in addition to the feedback provided by the manikin lights.Presented below are brief descriptions for each metric:
-
No. of Compressions
Records the number of compressions performed.
-
Cycle
Records the number of cycles performed (when in ERC or AHA practice mode)
-
CPR Event Period
Records the elapsed time for the training event.
-
Compression Depth and Rate Indicator
Guides the student to perform compressions at the correct depth, rate (speed) and with the correct recoil between compressions. Also provides "hands off" time when compressions are not being performed.
-
Compression Depth and Rate Matrix
Allows all chest compressions per cycle to be viewed to help encourage consistent and correct compression technique.
-
Finger Position
Provides real-time feed-back of fingers (or thumbs) position and provides an indication (red light) when the finger position is incorrect.

Do 5 rescue ventilations followed by 3 cycles of CPR
(15:2)
Press the start button to begin, finish to end.
Assessment CPR : ERC
When this option is selected, the student is asked to perform 5 rescue ventilations and then 3 cycles of infant CPR with the algorithm of 15 compressions to 2 ventilations (15:2).
No real-time feedback is provided during the assessment period, via the app or the manikin.
Upon completion of the assessment, the app provides full debrief information for the student to review.

The Brayden Online app provides real-time feedback of chest compression performance according to the guidelines. The Brayden Baby Pro manikin provides a realistic chest resistance appropriate for a six month infant. Key information relating to the chest compression depth, rate and release (recoil) are presented to allow the student to perfect their technique. The manikin and the app can be used for infant CPR (1 person or 2 person) or compression only training.
Values based on European Resuscitation Council guidelines
Provides real-time feedback of correct ventilation
20 - 40ml
In addition to the lights, and audio feedback, the app also provides the following real-time feedback.
Provides real-time feedback of over ventilation
40ml
Provides real-time feedback of ventilation speed of delivery. If too fast ( 1s), the above is shown on the app
Provides real-time feedback of under ventilation
20ml
The Chest Compression Matrix provided by the Brayden Online app works in conjunction with the Chest Compression Indicator and is provided in real-time.
This easy to interpret display helps students modulate their compressions so they hit the 'sweet spot' with the correct compression depth, rate and release (recoil).

The Brayden Online app provides real-time feedback of correct finger (or thumbs) position on the manikin chest. When correct (centre of the chest and 1 finger width above the Xiphisternum) a green dot will appear, when incorrect, a red dot will appear on the app.

Do 3 cycles of CPR
(30:2)
Press the start button to begin, finish to end.
Assessment CPR : AHA
When this option is selected, the student is asked to perform 3 cycles of infant CPR with an algorithm of 30 compressions to 2 ventilations (30:2)
No real-time feedback is provided during the assessment period, via the app or the manikin.
Upon completion of the assessment, the app provides full debrief information for the student to review.
